Sylvia's Patriotic Birthday Party

Sylvia is definitely a lady who has made a tremendous impact on not only her family, but everyone around her.

We got the call from to host a surprise birthday party a few weeks before the big day by one of her grandsons. Coincidentally, this family is the same one who owns Casey's buffet, and if you have never eaten there then you should stop what you're doing right now, and drive over to eat one of the best Southern food places in Wilmington. Seriously, it's THAT good.

The premise was this, Sylvia loooooooooooves her country. So naturally the party was going to be American themed. All of the decor was red, white, and blue. She had no idea that her family was planning on surprising her. In fact, she thought that she was going to a concert until she was lead inside a room full of all of her relatives--even as far away as Hawaii!

Love was in the air as the group sang the "Happy Birthday" song and "God Bless America" to the guest of honor.

Then everyone went around the room and talked about just how much Sylvia meant to them. By the end, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Many hugs, kisses, and wiped tears later, everyone enjoyed a fabulously patriotic cake by and spent the rest of the day in the presence of a most wonderful woman.
